i don't know what the problem is exactly. I can drive the car, but in every gear, the engine revs high and my speed doesnt go up very fast. It takes a while for the speed to pick up. eg. i start the car and go in first, and switch around 3-4k rpm. second gear, if i press the gas hard, all it does is rev high without picking up speed. I dont know what the problem is. did i burn my clutch?? is my clutch slipping? did i blow the transmission? can someone please help me...

Im not sure... cause i bought this car only about 3-4 weeks ago... and i don't know when the previous owner changed the clutch... Is this a big problem? about how much will it cost to fix? where should i get it done? a regular mechanic? a performance shop? GAS STATION?????? lol, but please, help me out... im only 18 and don't got much money, only working 2 days a week... =P but anyways, is this a big problem? thanks guys/gals in advance

 

would i have to buy a brand new clutch? or just somehow get it repaired? cause the guy said it has a stage 2 clutch in it right now... so??? i dunno wtf happened...

 

you would have to purchase a new clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing man.

no repairs on clutches, maybe able to use previous TOB, and pressure plate, i wouldn't recommend it though.

 

ok.. I just called the performance shop, and he said its deffinatly the clutch slipping. He said he would put in a clutch master stage 3 clutch for $522.00 plus $200.00 labor... now, i dont know much about estimates... but doesnt that sound kinda high? and would i ultimatly need a stage 3 clutch? i know i cant get a regular factory clutch cause my car is too powerful for it but the dude said it would be the same price for a stage 2 clutch.. ughhh.. help me out please
