Default which clutch?

I am shopping for a new clutch for my b16a2. I was wondering whether I should get a type r clutch and pressure plate (if it will fit) or and act heavy duty pressure plate with an ss organic disk. Also considering Clutchmasters stage 1. The motor is pretty much stock. What do you think?

I'm not looking for a harsh clutch that will chirp all gears and blow up my tranny. I mostly just daily drive and autocross the car. I do a one a year time trial too. IMO I don't think I need any type of racing clutch. So I'm choosing between ss organic act with hd pressure plate, CM stage 1, or OEM type r(if it will fit).

CM stage 2 is an extra long life clutch. I think you will like that one.

Good holding and no increase in pedal pressure.

I would go w/ the ACT Stage 2 package, which is what u listed.....Heavy Duty Pressure plate w/ SS Disc. (Kit number AI4-HDSS) It is a lot better and grabs better then teh ClutchMasters Stage 3. Both feel like a stock clutch too so that is a plus. Someone correct me if i am wrong. Good Luck on it.

I just bought the Exedy Organic Race Clutch with the 8.5 lb flywheel. She runs good! Not too harsh, but it'll throw your head back when you need it to!!! They also break in really easily. Slip it twice and drive normal for about 50 miles or so.
I got it at Clutchcityonline.com for $625 shipped and got a free Exedy T-shirt woo-hoo! Comes with everything!
