clinking in engine head
1st off i gotta 99 civic ex with a greddy turbo kit. for a while i had a boost leak and whenever i fixed it i heard a clicking noise in my head. my friend listened to it and said my valve lash was off. he adjusted all of the valves without it being at top dead center and then it wouldnt start. well i found the specs and a guide on how to do it my self on this forum and went back and set the valves the right way .20mm intake and .25 exhaust. now it will start again but i still have that original clicking noise and im stumped. i doubt this is enough info for a good diagnosis but any ideas would be helpful
Well adjusting your valves can take a few times to do as you have to get the correct 'feel' of the feeler gage between the valve stem and adjusting screw.
Make sure you have the timing set properly for the cylinder you are doing.
good luck

u mean having the tdc marks in the right place for each cylinder. i also noticed a little bit of play in my roller/rocker (whatever there called) arms could that have anyhting to do with it?
