Fed a thin rope down a spark plug tube to keep the crankshaft from rotating while I removed the pulley bolt. Only took several broken sockets, wrenches, and a six foot long bar to get it off...

I wouldn't risk bits of that getting caught or left behind in the engine.

\recommend just going to autozone/oreilys and borrowing the pulley bolt holder tool for free.

tip: for rubber hoses that wont pull off, use pliers and twist the hose where it connects to loosen it.
