Sure, you could do that if you wanted, plus a mild rebuild that you could probably do yourself. It won't change the fact that it's a stock dual point.

It's not a bad idea, but a wasted one on that engine.

not a bad idea, but i honestly wonder how much life you can restore to it, i'd say do a compression check, if the numbers are fine just leave it alone, my buddy has 220.000 miles on his d15b2 and its still going.

hehehehe all the old men around here vouch for running only ATF fluid for about 20 minutes of idle then re-draining the mill and doing a proper oil change with your perferred lube. the detergents in the ATF clean your millface up and only running it at idle for 20 minutes or a complete warm up cycle avoids putting any stress on the internals during the cleaning period

ive never done it but the old farts cant be wrong!!! or can they... find out for us!

i never recommend to use engine cleaning products on vehicles with more thean 100,000 on them. in then end it does more damage than good. i usually do 5-10 of them a week at work. given we use 3m and bg products

it will usually tell you on the back of the products.

that's what the noob thought, that's the reason why i just only wanna open it and clean all the dirty oil from the walls with a cloth and then put everything back together, just to keep everything running clean and fresh
