Default cleaning carbon out of header

I bought a used header, should i clean the carbon out of it? or will it not even make a difference? its by no means "clean" theres plenty of carbon inside. If i do decide to clean it how do i go about in doing so?

thanks

You could try flushing the insides with seafoam, but its going to get carboned up again anyways.
