Default clean out the cat. convertor

I took out the cat. convertor and see all clot inside. How do I clean it out. Need some help. Thanks

yeah if it's clogged normally people just gut them by ramming a rod through and knowcking away the clog and internals...Or buy a hi-flow cat or get a replacement OEM..

No. Why do people think that sea foam is The Uber Best Solution To Every Automotive Problem Ev4r? Get off it, there's better products out there, like GM or *gasp* Honda top engine cleaner.

I didn't mean to jump on you, I just see people jumping on sea foam for unfounded reasons.

Definately use honda top engine cleaner, i have used it before and it works great.

in the case of a cat you replace it.
it is NOT a service item that you can fix up.

I just bought a used cat from junk yard. It has no clot but look dirty. How do I clean the inside? Thanks

hammer and large pipe.


you should ahve looked at it before buying it. if you hold it up to light and can see light passng through its probably good enough to use.
