Of course, if you don't need the space, I think it's a silly on anything but a drag-only car.

And I think you'd be crazy not to use a tranny mount. Front mount, sure - that's fairly common, but you've gotta have something holding up the passenger side of the engine. Running 2 out of the 4 is just begging for the remaining ones to rip out of the frame & drop your engine to the pavement.

I noticed the exact same thing. But a battery has enough juice to get you around for a couple days if you have to, so pulling the alternator would be alright for a drag car or trailer queen.</TD></TR></TABLE>

92-95 Civics use half-sized radiators stock. Those cars both have B-series motors, the alternators are in the back of the motor, that's why they can't be seen. Those are 2 very clean engine bays.

Ah, didn't know that - thanks.

Heh, didn't know that either. So the two front mounts, okay - but definitely leave the tranny one alone!

One day I'll rip apart everything just to get a clean engine bay. And yeah, the alternators are closer to the firewall. Relocating the battery to the trunk also clears up a lot of space under the bay.

Not necessarily, I highly doubt that made that much difference as there isn't much too them...
Yea you can't do that, we're talking about the front lower mounts (aka torque or vibration mounts) as they really don't make much difference...

</TD></TR></TABLE>

It was a tremendous difference. The motor will shift much more under acceleration without them, and that feels unstable. With them in there is a more stable feeling. Now yea, it you're using inserts, or whole aftemarket mounts then they don't really do anything, but the soft OEM mounts need the torque mounts to help them out.

you have 3 motor mounts, and two vibration mounts. and under no circumstances do you remove the motor mounts. but you can remove the two front vibration mounts.
