I have encountered the same thing in one of my friends b16a's. He was lazy and never fixed it.
So I guess its ok to drive it like that.
It could also be a bent valve. But I doubt it unless you recently revved the **** out of the engine and the sound started happenng right afterwards.

well it cant be a bent valve cause i have compression. all the valves are adjusted to specs but its still making that noise. How much is it to fix a lost motion assembly?

lma's are somewhere in the 20~30 dollar ball park each. I dont remember exactly. If you are capable of removing the head yourself you can do the lma's yourself.
I would remove your cams and push down on the vtec followers to see if any of the lma's feel different from on another.
Got to http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/ for parts
I just checked the price and the lma's are 32.72 each. from acuraautomotiveparts

well like another memebr said, if you know how to take the head apart yourself. you're only in it for the lost motion assy. I would think that if you had the factory manual you would be able to check all this yourself.
