civic si dash/starting/stereo
hey guys me again..
okay so after 1 week with my car this girl crashed me. my front left got bashed in. after 5 months without my car i finally got it back. now this is where my question begins..
when i first got my car back it wouldn't start with the key in the ignition while holding the clutch in, i had to jump the starter and would work fine. second my dash and control panel don't light up whatsoever. third i barely found this out today, i tried installing a new stereo and i had absolutely no power through the 12v constant/switch.
ive tried bypassing clutch neutral switch, checked fusses, both under hood and engine bay, used ohm meter as well, im at a total stump.

Are we to assume this is a 99 Civic?
If so, for the no start, check the voltage on starter leadat the ign. switch harness, [black/white] then at the input and output of the starter relay.
Also it is called the CIS, [clutch interlock switch], automatics have a "neutral switch".
Does your car have stock alarm, if so, check starter cut relay.
For dash illumination, [again I am assuming, that is what you mean when you say, "second my dash and control panel don't light up whatsoever"] testthe red/black lead at radio harness for power, when park/head lights are on, if good, check the DLBC, [dash lights brightness controller] or supply a ground to the red lead in the radio harness.
Red/black-illumination power from combination light switch.
Red- illumination ground from DLBC.
Question, why did it take so long to get the car back???? 94
