Default Civic front end swap

Im trying to convert the front end of my 98 civic ex, to the 99-00 Si front end. From what I hear in order to swap the front bumper, you have to change the hood, fenders, grill and the bumper. Does anyone have more information on this, or a way around swapping everything out?

Er. What other way is there except for swapping all the 96 parts out for 99? Your question doesn't quite make sense because if you didn't there would be no reason to swap.
Try searching. There's dozens of write ups and tons of info. Try Google.

I just want the Si front bumper. Virtually the hood and fenders are the same, and the grill is just plain no emblem.

Not happening. If it was that easy people would be doing it. And the hood and fenders are NOT virtually the same. Neither is the grill.

A simple part number check would have shown you that the part numbers a differant for fenders, inner fender, splash guard and extention, grill and grill molding along with the hood, it looks like the only things interchangeable will be the hood hinges and the hood prop. 94

Well thanks for all the feed back. I was hoping for something a little less intricate. Just want the look, but the car is just a daily driver so not really worth it to put that kind of money in it for a sporty look.

Dang, you just came out of left field with that post!!! Had to do a double take to make sure you weren't OP.

To each his own, many think its worth it for the cleaner front end. This is also coming from a guy that has over 10k in a 20year old car worth a grand on a good day.
