After trying several things to get our DX to start, with no result, i put my foot to the floor and kept cranking the engine over. It started to sputter and gradually fired to life. Now it starts every time, as soon as the key is turned. This not starting issue has happened once before several months before, and i got it started the same way as this time. Why would it not fire up until i gave it full throttle during cranking? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
what year?
if its fuel injected.....putting the pedal to the floor will stop the injectors from firing. so if the engine is flooded and you floor it and crank it it will start.
wot+crank = no fuel beign sprayed...
hope this helps

The car is a 92 with a D15B7. I'm putting some injector cleaner in today and changing the plgs and will see if that helps. Any other ideas. It only seems to do this no start thing once in a while twice in the last year). Just want to make sure it doesn't happen again. Thanks for your input.
