i have a 2000 honda civic ex. the problem i have is when i let off the gas i get a loud knocking coming from the front driver side. of course the faster i am going when i let off the gas the faster the knock. my first guess was a cv joint but it doesnt do it as bad when i am turning. now i had 18inch wheels on it with stock suspension besides an upper sway bar. the wheels were on for about 2 weeks and i took them off and put the stock ones back on. after about 4 months i put the 18's back on and a week later it starts the knocking. i hate to take it in to a mechanic because they charge 80.00 just to look at it. does anyone know what the problem is?
