Default chosing a 2.0 engine

hi guys,
just wondering who makes a decent 2.0 litre engine, for an upcoming project.

its for a mid mounted design, so the advantage of the honda/s and the nissan is that theyre designed fwd, so none/little modification is required, but OTOH, the subaru is a boxxer engine so itll have a lower C.O.G which will be very handy for the project.
i really like that idea(low c.o.g) but i only know of subarus in 4wd?, which means ill have to pretty much remove everything i wont need, adding more work into the equation.
an advantage of the nissans and subaru, is they possibly come pre-turbo saving ,me a lot of time and money.

so my question is if you were in my position, what engine would you chose, i know this probably aint the best place to ask about other makes lol.

what engines and makes am i missing out on?, also if you ahve any specs on engines other than the hondas that would be very cool

cheers for all your help(sorry for so many questions in one post lol)

isaac

EDIT:

entering details into the poll section, i pushed enter trying to get to next box, it set it up and now i cant enter any more options. the ones i was thinking of were

nissan sr20
mitsubishi 4g63
subaru rj20
honda b20b
b20z

If your going to do a b18, do a b18c1 just my preference(gsr vtec mill)

K series are nice but more $$ and harder to come by

cant go wrong with an h22 out of a prelude vtec

B20 is only good with a vtec head(crv mill)

B16's are very easy to get and the cheapest of the vtec's

K20 is the only way to go.
