Chipped Teeth for VSS on Differential?

Default Chipped Teeth for VSS on Differential?

On the differential their are the teeth that spin the vss. a couple of these teeth, for the vss, on my differential have chipped. Do you think i will have any issues with the vss getting snagged on a chipped teeth.

im pretty sure that is just the speedometer drive gear.

the question is, where did the pieces go.

you should be able to just change the gear

Your vss gear will eventually, if not quickly, develop a wear pattern as well. This will result in a rather profuse whine noise.

Did you damage the teeth when installing the vss? This is a very common problem. Always make sure the vss bolt flange is solid against the case spotface before running the bolt in.
