Default any ideas??? slight drivetrain vibration and no speedo

i think something may have come loose on the VSS or on the differential. i have had a slight vibration for a couple of days, it goes away at speed, but last night, all of a sudden, the speedometer stopped working. any think the two things are related??

they are very closely related. check your VSS to see if it's still on the tranny. those things are weak and breaks off where the 10mm bolt goes. if it's not on all the way, the VSS can pop off and snap where the bracket is. u can lose tranny oil with that and can cause friction and vibration due to lack of oil.

there's no way the speedo gear on the diff will come loose, that thing is pressed on. the only thing i can think of is that u have a bad VSS, either that or u stripped the gears on the VSS or the diff.

vibration is still there, goes away with speed, doesnt feel like a wheel or an axel, i can feel it though the floor pan, and if my left foot is on the clutch, i can feel it though there
