Default chipped p28 problems

i have an ls vtec on a 96 dx..... b4 when i had 96 wire harness i had a jumper with a chipped p28....now i did a 00 si wire harness so im runnin a stock si ecu now....i got a jumper for the 00 now and plugged up the same p28 and it idles all weird now...b4 it was perfect idled perfect and everything... y not its all messed up?

Wiring is different for a 1996-1998 and 1999-2000 model. So might just have to redo the wiring. Its just a bit different.

no i have 99-00 si harness now.... i did the conversion.....

ls vtec has low compression while a 00 si has simi-high compression. are you using the same tune? could be the chip.

Note: Same P28, different wiring harness...would the ecu program change from that???

Are you throwing any codes???

The only major difference I can see are, the seconday o2 sensor is no longer part of your harness (Should not be an issue, but may affect your o2 heater), and the IACV/Vtec wiring, which I assume you added in on your previous harness

my ls vtec is built for high compression 2....i have b16 parts in my ls block...i put the p28 on 1 more time and it worked fine maybe the car just had 2 get used 2 the new ecu
