Default chipped ecu problem

so i have a b20/vtec with a chipped p28

i was running a kenji chip that was alright but the vtec was too high.. so i just got one from the ihatericerz dude..
i put it in and start it up.. revs to 2k with a cel.. the car is warm at this time because i had just drove home..
so im like wtf, i have 2 other chips from kenji one is for my setup and one is for my friends that i just got so he could try ( his is sohc vtec) and i got them mixed up..
1 does the same thing as the first.. and 1 revs to like 1k but if you give it gas it goes then drops down way way low and almost dies..
so could i have jacked the wiring when i swapped them or something? whats going on?

any help/thoughts/suggestions are appreciated
thanks

you could have damaged the chip and/or ecu by putting in the chip backwards. You will notice a notch/groove on one end of the socket as well as the chip itself. They both should be pointing towards the plugs of the ecu's. Also, make sure the pins of the eprom are lining up and are firmly secure with in the socket. If one pin isnt lined up or making a direct connection, the chip will not work properly. I'm just hoping you didnt fry the chip already
