i hear vtec but don`t feel it.. help
today i hooked up my p28 on my b16a but it seems that vtec sound come in but i don`t feel it as it shuold be. can you tell me what would my problem be?

is it a chipped p28 or juss stock??? if its juss stock, maybe its because vtec is not gettin enough fuel...if im wrong, someone make it right

the p28 i got from ebay was faulty. it has skunk chip. so i hooked up my friends ecu. i know that it`s chiped but don`t know which chip though. so that is the story. any help appreciated please.

Since the ecu is chipped it could be a bad program and robbing you of power so you don't feel the vtec kick and it's not pulling as hard. Or, on the other hand it could be a good program that just smooths out the vtec kick and you think you are being robbed of power since you don't feel it. These are just some ideas im throwing out.

does the engine bog or is it just a nice linear pull? a properly tuned engine will have a smoothe vtec transition. if you raied the x over to say 6k, you will FEEL vtec, but you are losing midrange

if its not losing power and straining to reach red line, you are running just fine. dyno time and tuning the timing, cam settings, and fuel is the only was to know what is really going on.

VTEC doesnt add any power, its just a sound to fool your senses

check your oil lever, VTEC runs off oil pressure and the level should be just right. No oil and VTEC will feel weak, too low and VTEC wont even engage
