i just installed a spoon chip to my P13, h22, ECU and now itwont rev past 3 grand?

 

you're in limp mode... first question is... JDM P13 or USDM P13? next question, did you burn the rom yourself or get it from someone else? and lastly... Check if there are any torn traces or anything around the installed components...

 

JDM p13.. bought it from someone but friends bought from before adn worked.. and no torn traces

 

The JDM P13 will only run on JDM P13 programs... If that chip is for a USDM P13 it won't run, the code is different... That's probably why... Or the guy could have tried tweaking something and not updated the checksum... That will send you into limp mode too... Then there's the possibility that a number of things could be wrong with the board or eprom itself... Just have to track it down... If the guy is local, have him burn you a JDM P13 program just to make sure it's not just the eprom or program... If it runs great, if not it's more than likely a board problem... If he doesn't have a JDM P13 program, has no idea what you're talking about, or can't get it to work, let me know... I'll get ya setup and running again...
