chip for my B17 VTEC engine
I have a b17 with JDM ITR In & Ex Camshafts with AEM CAI, 4-2-1 Headers, and soon to re do the exhaust with 2 1/4 piping.
how much would a chip help my setup? HP gains? TQ gains? VTEC engagement? rev limiter?
what would needed to be done to my ECU? its OBD1. would i need to re solder anything?

While it's possible to just drop a chip in and make a little more power, to get the most out of the motor, you'll need to really get it tuned on a dyno. This way, it will be best for your engine, not some magical engine that has nothing in common with yours.
Chipping it will let you change fuel and ignition maps, vtec and rev limiter, add all kinds of extra stuff, boost, you name it. Crome is arguably the best editor for OBD1, so read up on it at http://www.pgmfi.org or http://www.tunewithcrome.com.
You'll have to add an external rom, which involves desoldering the pads and installing a few parts. Not hard, just takes a little time and patience. You can get the kit to do such things yourself from http://www.xenocron.com.
