Chiltons or Haynes??
Helms over all but don't have much experience with chilton's. I have some haynes and they're ok. You get to the point where you don't need either but a Helms is good for reference
Honestly, neither. Unless it's an emergency and I can't get access to a Helms manual.
I had a bad experience with a Haynes when I was doing rear drum shoes for the first time a few years ago and they had "removed the hub for clarity" in the pictures. Turns out the procedure was totally different with the hub removed than with it in place.
And it's also really easy to find a Helms to download for free...they're pricey when purchased, but still worth the cash if you're looking for something in print to have. It has never, ever (I mean NEVER) let me down. Even the most obscure things, it usually covers in some way or another. I can't say that about the Chilton or Haynes manuals.

Haynes or chilton manuals have enough info to get you in but not enough info to get you out. Installation is the reverse of removal. Helms are the truth for Honda. They are pricey, but well worth the money IMO.
