Why everyone was saying you are stupid is because what you are describing is not a cherry bomb. A cherry bomb is a long red 'resonator' that rednecks put on their cheap muscle cars and trucks to be loud, and are crappy and cheap. Resonators are kind of the same, but more with the idea of quieter sound without sacrificing performance, not for redneck loudness. I was agreeing with those people until you said you were actually talking about a resonator. And yes, an aftermarket exhaust without a resonator sounds like a bumblebee, and yes, that's what the resonator is for. It WILL help to reduce the bumblebee noise, and I don't really get why people make custom exhausts without resonators in the first place because it'll sound like crap and they'll usually want to put one in later anyway.

I put a SRI intake on my CX, with stock exhaust and it is quiet cruseing and at idle but when you step on it it is really deep, could barrly hear the intak in the car cruseing at 85, but if you steped on it or started going up hill it would get loud, but not high pitched just deep untill readline then it would crack.

now the same thing on my sidekick you cannot hear it at idle, but when you are crusing say 50 you have to have the stero almost full blast, it has a turbo muffler and stock every thing else.

when the dx motor get situatied in the CX it will get the SRI and maby a turbo muffler but i dont want it to sound like a fart in a wind tunel.

well that is a completely different aspect of the useage of the ''cherry bomb'' all together, thats to detonate the sound. and those do work pretty decent for that useage but just as a tail end muffler they sound like complete ****.

i like
