uugghh. He dropped it. Even if he does get it checked ok, I don't think I'd want it (unless he'd let it go for next to nothing).

i talked to the guy and he sais that he is getting everything completely looked over before he puts it back up for auction. He said he is gonna make sure its working just the same as before and that everything is ok. can anybody answer my question on how much power you think i could get out of this head?

I wouldn't trust any motor on ebay, most of them are from Osaka, and we all know how shady that place is...

I had a d-series motor for years and there is only so much it can do. Now I have a b16a2 and it performs so much better and responds so much better to everything I do to it. So I'm talking from experience when I say d-series motors are worthless and you should just spend the cash to get a b16a. They are only about $1050.

Yeah and after I do a little work on my b16a it will make more power than your little motor. I'm just saying you should go with a bigger engine and not waste the money on a small one that can only put out so much power. Don't even get a b16a, get a b18c or b18c5 and then you will see some real power.

so spids5 you tell him to just ditch the D series and get a "bigger motor" ?? How is a b16 (a 1.6) any bigger than a d16 (also a 1.6) . Also this wasnt a "which motor is better" thread?

And then spend double that on repairs to an unprepared bottom-end...

Depending on if it's tuned right and he's not running too much boost.

youre the most ignorant and retarded person here... Dseries worthless huh? try Bisi's all motor, nonvtec dseries that runs 10.90's in a crx idiot. Dseries are tight and cheap thats why people use them, they can make tons of power. but i am a Bseries guy, what would i know.

Keep in mind the $$$ and effort invested in that car, not to mention the lack of drivibility...Atleast you can make a reliable 12second B series motor that will take most everything you through at it, as opposed to a finicky Dseries motor that would need 10x`s the money and effort to perform and maintain at that same level.

It`s just easier, mor efficent, It`s like taking a lawn mower engine and putting a 150 shot on it as opposed to a race built shifter cart motor, there is no reasonable comparison.

well so are b16's unless u do some real work to it my stock b18b non vtec in a 2500 coupe eats my freind's b16 cx hatchback all day.

dude d series are not bad motors though but if u want to do turbo why get that head?????? just save a lil more up go get a bullfrog head package or even a JG head package for single cams

Thats why I said get a b18c or b18c5 (1.8 liter) when I told him to get a bigger engine. When I told him to get a b16 I said nothing about engine size. Also I don't give a **** what kinda thread this is I was making comment and everyone else had something to say about it.
