Default check engine light at WOT, tps problem?

I have a 95 cx with a sir2 b16a. The cx harness was modified for vtec. The probem is if the car is at WOT for more than a few seconds, the check engine light comes on. I don't remember what code it was throwing, but it was a TPS code. This CEL isn't affecting engine performance in any way, but it's getting annoying. Anybody encounter this problem before?

oh shoot. . . I forgot to mention that there is too much voltage reaching the tps. Basically all I need to know is what would cause this, and how do I stop it from happening?

The TPS voltage should read about 0.45 volts at idle and about 4.5 volts at WOT.

Iam currently having the same problem 94 ex d16z6 ,I have changed the 02 sensor ,iac motor, and it surges while idiling unless the a/c is on and then it starts irratic idiling again. When the coolant fan comes on the car runs normal.I was wondering if I should change the tps because the stock is still on the throttle body, rivveted. Help me out ,please no smart *** replys.

I think mine is around 6 volts at WOT. . . I could be wrong about that number, but it's more than 4.5. Someone else did the check and I don't remember what they told me. So, what could cause that much voltage to reach the tps? A crossed wire?

The TPS voltage should read about 0.45 volts at idle and about 4.5 volts at WOT.
