Check Engine Light (IAT sensor)
I have a 93' civic with a jdm b16 about five minutes after i start my car the check engine light comes on..i checked the code and it is the IAT sensor code 10 but i dont know why it is coming on...i just put my motor back together... the only thing done was i got my head ported and polished and a thinner head gasket...not sure if this affects anything just wondering why this code is being thorwn and is it safe to drive with it on??? any information would be helpful
thanks for the pictures....but im not sure how to use a ohms meter ill get a buddy of mine to check the ohms...i already bought another sensor....i pick it up monday...if the problem still occurs...i might need some more help thanks
you just check the resistance in the wire. its really easy. if you have a car and are doing any sort of wiring anyway you should def. own a multimeter. you can get a nice one from sears for around 30 bucks. but i put jdm b16 pistons in my car with a 2 layer hg and my IAT sensor went bad too. its pretty weird that we both have higher C/R and it went bad.....hmmmm
