check engine light flashing?
I have a 96' integra gsr w/a drag turbo setup tuned w/ vafc and running 10psi and I still have the obdII conversion. I was driving the other day coming home from work and I ran it hard that morning because I was running late and I raced an sti on the freeway and went all the way in 4th which I don't normally do. but on my way home I heard a almost knocking sound coming from the engine and my check enginge light was flashing, I don't know what that means, and my car sort of smelt like gas my wife said "spray paint". The car still runs and moves but I don't want to drive it in this condition. Everything was professionally installed by Tuners Edge in N.N. VA but the just recently shut down so if anybody can give me advice or info that would be greatly appreciated
The check engine light flashes when something major is wrong. You said it has OBD2 correct? I have never seen or heard of obd1 flash. Misfire condition/codes will cause that....sounds like possible detonation damage.
what is a dead misfire exactly? How do I fix that? Would I still be able to drive with a dead cylinder because my car is still drivable.

A cylinder that's not running.

Depends on what the problem is: Electrical, fuel or mechanical.
