Default cheapest way to hit high 13s

in your opinion, what is the cheapest setup to hit an eastimated 13-something in the quarter mile? Also, what would be faster - an h22 in a stripped 90-93 accord or a b16 in a stripped 88-91 civic

stripped crx w/ h22a

any Bxxx in a crx would be faster than an Accord w/ h22a IMO.
200hp in a 2200lb w/o driver vs 170 in a 1900lb w/o driver

Not true. I want an 11 second car. I will settle for 12's this summer, though.
NOS is the cheapest and not smartest way to go like COOS said.

I hit a high 13 with a cx hatch, gutted, obd-1 GSR...I/E/H , V-AFC, Nitto 555r's , ACT stage 2, 2.25in crimp bent exhaust, tokico's and ground controls. It doesnt take much. Any GSR in a lightened CRX with some slicks and suspension can hit a high 13 as well. Key is to drive it like your gonna get ***-rapped by someone following you.... Dont pick your foot up off the gas after you get traction...

Very Simple, GSR swap in CRX or 92-95 hatchback. I built a 91 si crx with gsr swap and 75 shot and it pulled a 11.7 with slicks and I/h/E.. I have maybe 4000 total into the car. or wanna run 10 sec get a R1 i ran mine. fast fast fast

i agree, but disagree with the "not smartest" comment.

when used correctly NITROUS is safe and very effective.
best bang for the buck
you can drive N/A all the time and when you need the POWER just hit the switch.

Best bang for the buck SOHC TURBO! Greddy kit is about 1500, cheaper than any swap, easier to install, no need to refill bottles, and is capapble of more power to the wheels.

Exactly, the benefit of being able to drive N/A all the time is what makes it "smart" and "safe".

Nitrous is the answer to your question. With a $500 new kit you can have more power than a swap and be in the 13's easily, if your car is light enough.

not better than a 75 shot. thats instant 175 or so WHp, when the greddy kit, unintercooled is more like 150-170

b18a with a 100 shot direct port i think is the cheapest .. maybe better than 13's on the right tires with the right driver.

Clutch net clutch disk - 120
stock pressure plate - 80
my old slicks 22x15x8 - 300

Some people end up spending hella money on nitrous.

Like to do it right:
Remote bottle opener
Ignition system to retard timing inside the car
bottle wamer
Nitrous mastermind controller
etc... **** adds up

The boosted SOHC might not be all that bad. lol
