I need some cheap horsepower tricks or tips for my little honda del sol (only 1.5L, 205BHP). just need to speed it up a little for a local track. any tips can help, planing on porting intake manafold and exhaust ports, just want to know if there is any other hidden horsepower tricks? (no boddy removal or anything like that, i got to be able to drive it to work every day)

bump the timming up.

 

wieght reduction is obviously the first thing. after that try dumping the exhaust.

 

Did you mean 105? Anyway, for the price of an AEM intake(or maybe a 100 or so more) you can get a SOHC VTEC head and people that have done this seem to like the results. If not, you can always buy a cheap intake, or make your own(Home Depot piping), or at least remove the resonator.
You can advance timing.
You can remove power steering.

 

hey here are some cheap things you can do on race day:

run straight header(take off cat back exhaust)
take seats/spare tire/ anything extra out
advance your timing
pump 93+ octane fuel
take out air filter
change your spark plugs(this really does help!!)
change your oil (this helps too!)
loosen and take off power steering and ac belts

with all of these small mods you'll probably take a good .5 sec or so. don't quote me on this though, just try it for yourself.
