Here is the issue, the charging system light will not go off unless i am accelerating in gear (load on engine) as soon as the load comes off the engine the light comes back on. Now I have tested the output of the Alt at idle (light is on) and it is putting out around 14.4V steadily, at the underhood fuse box it is at around 14.2V all the way through the fuses etc. At the battery it is charging at 14.2V aswell, but my battery stopped holding a charge 2 thursdays ago and i believed it was due to the alt not charging but if it doing 14.4V then everything should be peachy. Now another issue is that there is continuity between the white/blue wire and any body ground which i believe is not suppose to be there which could be causing the light to stay on? Now my question would be if cut that wire will there be any issues?
please give me any ideas on how to resolve this issue

well what i can say is try your under dash ALT/SP fuse and what might be happening is your motor mounts might be worn so when you give gas it is giving excesive motor movement due to worn mounts and grounding out a wire (this is common in civics the wire near the 2 junctions located under the intake manifold)

if the alt/sp fuse is blown would that cause the light to come on?
The problem is that the light goes OFF when i give it gas so the wire would have to be grounded when not giving it gas which i dont think is likely but i will check it out.
