changing to a thinner head gasket

You should clay depending on what dome piston your going to run and the amount of lift on the cam your going to use...Yes it will make a difference when you run that head gasket..in other words if your mild on the domes I wouldnt worry about it..Unless you have really aggresive cams..

it's a fully stock gsr motor that im going to change the water pump belt tensioner and timing belt along with all the gaskets and seals on the top end . i figured i would just buy a good head gasket

perfect...You dont have to worry about claying nothing...just add the head gasket and go..keep in mind that your cam timing is going to retard abit so your gonna need cam gears to get it back to stock..
