right now, i have an 89 hatch with the tanabe hyper medallion exhaust(the one that looks like the apexi ws). is it possible to keep just the muffler section but replace the piping with 2.5 or 3 inches even though the muffler inlet is 2 1/4? is it even possible to just cut the inlet off and have the piping welded on? the reason i ask is because i like the look of the muffler and tip and its hard to find a nice on that sits sideways for the ef.
