Default changing coolant in V6 6gen accord

hey guys

according to the service manual there are 2 drain bolts. one is the drain plug under the front bumper, the other is the drain bolt behind the cylinder block.

my question: am i able to reach the drain bolt behind the block by simply jacking up the car? or should i let the dealer do this?

thanks

(its for a 99 3.2 tl, which is close enough to a 6gen)

the original coolant in your 99 will be good for 5 years- why change it?

its a part of routine maintenance. 3yrs/72000 km

everyone i talked to said to just drain it from the drain plug (easily accessible) and pour wated until the water starts draining

i guess i'll do that

Just drain the radiator and fill it back up with Honda coolant Type 2- it is pre-mixed with demineralized water- do not add water!

Don't forget to open your cap and oxygen lines. Otherwise it will take time to drain, and it all won't flow out!

Oxygen lines? anyways, the best way to keep your cooling system clean and trouble free is to jus drain whats in the radiator and fill it every year. if you do that there is no need to add chemicals to flush out all the crap that may build up inside the engine.
