Default cfk bypass trick

I've got a 1999 ek civic that I am swapping a b18a1 into. I am running an obd2a p75 ecu and an obd2b stock engine harness. In order to perform this trick right do I need to follow what my engine harness is or by the ECU...??

heres the link http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/ckftrick.htm

anyone done this before?

Either one should work. I'd do the jumper harness just in case you won't to put it back to stock later it'll be easier.

All of the wires on the harness are gray, so I should go buy the pins of the obd2a ecu?
