Default CEL Problem, dosen't look good...

This morning upon starting my 99 EJ8 (D16Y8), she sputtered and shook and sent out a puff of white smoke out the exhaust, but after a few seconds all was fine. Or so I thought...Now this evening after work, I started her up and the same thing happens, but with the addition of the CEL. All seemed fine, so i drove home carefully, and when I jumped the terminal I got a code 71, 72, 73. Misfires in cylinders 1, 2 & 3. Now that I have this information, I start checking my spark plugs to see if there was any indication of misfire...ummmmm yeah...check this out...

As you can see, I've blown off the top portion of the plugs. It's amazing I made it home like this, and it's a 30 mile drive to and from work. So my question is...
What caused this? And will the electrode pieces that blew off destroy my engine? Can I just buy new plugs and reset my ecu, and will all be good? Thanks in advance for the help.

DAMN what did you do?? What kinda of plugs are those, and when was the last time you changed them?? Lets hope those ceramic tips that fell off don't scratch up the cylinder walls. Good luck!!

Just replaced the plugs today, and reset the ECU, all seems good. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
