CEL pops on but can't check it
I have an OBD1 4th Gen Civic. It's converted. I've had this weird issue pop up recently. The CEL will pop on. But when I flip the switch to check the code it just goes away. Flip it back and the CEL isn't on any more. Any ideas on this?
CEL does function properly. I have used it before.
Conversion harness is installed properly.
I do have the pin for the CEL run to a switch. The other side is grounded to one of the 'ground' pins on the ECU. Could this be my issue?
I am going to check my thermostat ground. Go ahead and remove it and see if it's gunked up or something. But this issue is really strange.
Thanks

Verify that the ECM memory fuse is fine, or just replace it.
If there is no power to the memory as soon as you shut off power, ECM will clear its memory and no codes will appear when you turn the car back on to check codes.

This is actually while the car is on.
Re-explained:
I'm driving.
CEL pops on.
I click the service switch to see the code blink.
CEL goes away.
Flip switch back over and it is off.
Now that I think about it, maybe my switch is crapping out on me and grounding itself out when it shouldn't.
