Default CEL code 7(TPS)??

No one seems to wanna answer me on the EG forum so i'll try this forum. Went to the track today. Check engine light came on when i revved to 8500rpm. First time i've went that hi so far. Oh yeah engine is b18c1 in an EH2 w/ i/h/e, skunk manifold, skunk gears, crower 402a cams, dual springs, titanium retainers, chipped P28 from GBR tuning(5700vtec,9k rev limiter), and 68mm STR TB. I drive it everday. Just recently got the springs and retainers so i went a little higher today on the revs(just 8500). Nothing seems to be acting funny and after i turn the engine off and turn it back on, no CEL. I thought if the voltage from the TPS was wrong it would automatically trigger the CEL upon start up. Not when the throttle is wide open. Should i worry or not since the CEL cuts off when engine is turned off then on again???? One more thing,I ran it at the track before with the chip and factory springs , but never went higher than 8k and CEL never popped on, it just did today when i went pass the stock rev limiter for a b18c1......

Even though the CEL didn't come back on when started back up doesn't mean the CEL isn't still in the ecu. Most CEL's are gone after turning the car off then back on, but the ecu stores the code that was thrown. Try resetting the ecu, then see if you get the code again. Could have been just an intermittent code, and nothing to worry about, or loose connection. But reset the ecu and see if the code comes back when driving, and let us know.

when the light came on yesterday at the track, first i checked the code then i reset it. and it stayed off until i ran again and revved to 8500. then it jumped on again. drove back around to park, turned engine off then on again and it turned itself off after i started it back up.
Anymore ideas???

Yeah even though that CEL light is off doesn't mean that the code still isn't stored in the ecu's memory. After you turn the car back on and the light is off, still jump the ecu and see if you can retreive the code (it should still be there if you haven't reset the ecu from getting the code). If no code is available and you haven't reset the ecu since the code then there maybe something wrong with the ecu itself (or the chip). Check voltage to tps sensor too, could be old or faulty. Also make sure the connection to the sensor isn't loose or anything. Good luck
