CEL Code 54... CKF Sensor ??
I just had my timing belt changed approx 2k ago on my 99 civic dx and I just got a cel code 54 CKF Sensor (Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor...
Anyone know if the two are related...
FRom what I've read I'm guessing that the dealer fucked up somewhere behind the timing belt cover.. This dealer alos has a bad rep I;ve read (read this after doing the serivce).
Any idea what to do or if the two are likly to be related?

check the wiring between the t-belt cover and alternator.the wire probobly hanging and touching the alternator pulley or belt.i got costumer complaining the same code after the one of the gas station did the timing belt.they forget the wire hanging.<

Good continuity back to the ECU? If so, then you probably need a new sensor - it's behind the crank pulley.
