cel code 54 CKF Sensor???

I just had my timing belt changed approx 2k ago on my 99 civic dx and I just got a cel code 54 CKF Sensor (Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor...
Anyone know if the two are related...

FRom what I've read I'm guessing that the dealer fucked up somewhere behind the timing belt cover.. This dealer alos has a bad rep I;ve read (read this after doing the serivce).

Any idea what to do or if the two are likly to be related?

They could likely be related; When you remove the timing belt, the CKF sensor sits on the oil pump. They shouldn't have touched the CKF though or its wiring...it doesn't need to be messed with when doing a timing belt.

Does the car run alright or has the performance changed since the timing belt job?

performance Seems the same.. But I get this funny sound from the drivers side of the engine bay everytime I start and stop the car. It sounds like a half empty bottle of water being hit with something...

not sure i fyou understand thw saound I'm talking about.. but thats the best I can describe it.
