It's a 1990 crx si, b16 converted to obd1 running a chipped P28
Ran flawlessly for 2 years until last night.

Parked the car everything was fine, went to start it 6 hrs later and.......
Turn the ingnition on the CEL goes on as always but doesn't go off as it usually does after 2 seconds, start the car and the idle is kind of rough, drove the car home the CEL was on the whole way, car was running is safe mode, very rich, bogging if i got close to 4k rpms.

Tried reseting the ecu both battery and fuse and nothing, as soon as the ignition is in the on position the CEL goes on and never goes off.

Tried to pull a code with a clip, and wire and nothing, as i turn the ignition on the CEL goes on solid.

Heard this could mean a bad ecu, but would it go bad after working for 2 years flawlessly. PLEASE help, i am stuck.

A guy i used to know pulled a code on my car 2 years ago but he messed around with the larger plug, not the blue one with 2 wires but a white one with 4 wires, maybe someone can give me an idea which wire (colours) to short out and I'll do it that way. HELP

 

When your check engine light comes on, dont shut the car off. Try jumping the ECU with the car still running.

 

tired all sorts of things, pin pointed to a bad ROM chip, luckely had someone that burned me another one and that seemed to fix it. I get a CEL now, pulled it and comes out as code 1, O2 sensor, but drives mint, i'll cchenge the o2 when i get a chance.
