Catch can quickie (front or back?)
ok ive read about every last post with the word catch can in it... maybe i blurry eyed past it or just missed it somehow. but i saw a few post hwere someone emphisized FRONT of the valve cover for the vents... my question is this
i want to do it at the back for a cleaner look. why does it seem most people do it at the front ? i never read anywhere that solidly explained why they use the front. and why the back is worse or not as effecient ?
thanks

the more the better! Your engine needs to vent so if you restrict that you not allowing the motor vent as much as it should also your not putting your catch can too much use...
hmmm would 2 -12 lines be enough out the back ? and does it make a difference if i go out the back of the valve cover as to the front tho ? ill be running another 2 lines out of the back of the block
for refrence purpose i have a b20b second gen b16 head, crower stage 2 valve train, itr girdle. ill be runnin a hondata intake manifold gasket with a skunk2 manifold, probably a 70ish mm throttle bodie too.

The reason they do it in the front of the VC is because the baffles are in front in the back theirs no baffles so a little motor oil can go through the lines no big deal keep an eye on your oil level.
