Default Catalytic Converters

Hey guys, I need a new cat and I was wondering what everyone does for a replacement? I've been using the 2.5" Magnaflo but it's not that great. Are there any better alternatives?

Also, I'm in arizona and obd1 if that matters

I'm surprised at the lack of responses. I thought pretty much everyone needed a cat to pass emissions and I was wondering which cat most people use.

Are those SMSP cats any good?

SMSP is a popular choice. Well priced and they're a spun-bodied cat, which flows a little better than a normal honeycomb style. They also offer different cell ratings (200, 300, & 400) depending on what kind of emissions you need.

While I've had success with the magnafol, I've found that they are good for about a year before they won't pass emissions anymore. My brother even got one they didn't work and had to send it back which was a hassle after spending money on having flanges welded on.

I'm just wondering if there are any alternatives and what other people are using
