Wondering what kind of symptoms would be going on if your cat is dead or clogged...thanks

Loss of power. Red hot cat, like glowing. I think it might start to smell like rotten eggs too.

how bout backfiring? like sometimes wen im driving and i let off the gas i hear a pop out of my exhaust and sometimes wen its warming up too

when you accelerate it will be sluggish, a backfire in an exhaust is usually an indicator that there is a hole in the piping. I had the same prob with my 92 hatch but I gutted the cat and no sluggishness. But if you live in an area that has strict pollution laws then get a highflow cat
