alrite im having trouble with my car starting.. the other day it was running fine.. i wake up the next morning, it starts up but i get the idle that goes up and down.. and i pull a map sensor code, so i put on a different map sensor, the code goes away, the idle is back to normal.. i take it out for a spin, going out of the neighborhood it drives fine, i turn onto the main road, hit vtec and it starts to act really weird and hesitant, i put it in 2nd and the car turns off on me an i drive to a stop.. pushed it back into the neighborhood it hasnt started since... i checked for spark, i wasnt getting spark.. i put in a new coil now im gettin spark.. the fuel pump is turning on, the car is cranking over but isnt firing up.. is there anything else i could check.. and i am also pulling code 6 engine coolant temperature which i wasnt pulling before all of this happened.. someone told me to check the igniter inside of the distributor, he said even tho its gettin spark if the igniter is bad it wont start.. is this true? or if the igniter was bad it wouldnt spark at all? .. thanks.
