Default Car wont start.

I just put the stock d16y7 motor back my 97 dx. The motor is a good motor that came out of someone else's car. The wiring harness is stock and uncut. The ecu is stock, obviously. There are no codes, no blown fuses and all plugs and grounds are where they should be. The motor turns over but it doesnt seem to be getting any spark. I am 99% sure the plugs are in the right order. We are stumped. Are we over looking anything at all? Any suggestions would help.

Thanks,

Jeremy

First, take a test light and check the black wire going into the + side of your coil with the key on. It should light. If it doesn't, you have a bad ignition switch. That just happened to me. Double check your firing order, make sure you have a good battery also. If that doesn't work, take your coil out and test it with an ohmmeter. If your coil is good, test the igniter. If thats good, check the resistance in the plug wires. Good luck, I just had to go through all of this with my car. It sucked.
