90'integra LS/VTEC
My friends car died to the freeway after passing a truck... He tried to restart his
car but it ust cranked,cranked,etc... He checked for spark but there was none according to him, i told him too check his grounds..so he checked them.. they were tight.. he also checked all the plugs and grounds in the engine bay including his ecu plugs... could his ignitor be bad... cuz the last time i saw his dist.. it looked new... i know he boosted on it before we did the ls/vtec...

it could be the coil too,

what exactly happened when he passed hte truck?

I'll have him check the coil...

He just passed the truck and his car just died on him, no rpm,the usual, when car dies,CEL,oil light,blah,blah....

Does the car just crank and smells of gasoline from the tailpipe ? No sign of the tach jumping during turnover ?

With no warning like that....Sounds like the ICM in the distributor.

Thanks for all the input he found out what went wrong... One of hid dist. plugs from his engine harness came undone...
