MM&Y of car or car engine is from would help.

Have you checked valve and ign. timing?

Have you checked to see what fuel pressure is?
When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

Have you checked your spark, how good/strong is it?

Have you done a compression check? 94

What is fuel pressure when you put it into gear and try and drive the car, look for a fuel pressure drop. 94

Im having the same issue. Brand new b20vtec rebuild starts right up, idles a lil high 1000-1500. If you give it any gas it try's to die and the throttle response is delayed too. the motor we took out two nights ago ran fine.

Is your hand brake on?
Just kidding. It's possible the cable is stuck?
It could also be a bad battery. <Happened to my dad before.

figured out what the problem is the injector on cylinder 3 is always on and squirting fuel in a stream instead of a spray.......the harness switches everything from dual point to multi port the wire either is going to the wrong pin on the computer or theres a break in the wire i think

Did u figure out ur problem? I had SAME issue on my 1991 honda civic EF. It was the exact same but it turns out i didnt have 1 of the wire i think it was the crank sensor 1.. I didnt have it clipd into the ECU just right and i did the Conversion on the harness myself. 1 silly little wire needed flipd upside down in the connector. It was 1 pin.. And dont forget to put the little plastic comb back in.. without it the car wont be right. I found out the hard way! Hope it helps And i was throwing code 4 on the ecu btw
