Default Car revs when brake depressed.

Is this normal? Happens both when it's warm and cold... sometimes it revs up 500 RPM when the brakes are touched, and then it revs again when the brakes are let off.

I think it has something to do with the vacuum assist for the brakes.

If you pump the brakes at idle, you force air from the brake booster into
the intake manifold. This makes the idle ride for a moment.

That's what I figured, but I thought the MAP might be on the way out (mistaking it for an inlet of air, as caused by the throttle opening). Thanks guys .
