car problem
hey so car is 1998 honda accord. 4 clyinder, cold air and muffler. thats all i reccently broke the motor mount in the car replaced it at first auto parts store gave me one with out vaccum line put it in the car bogged out wouldnt go at all. then took it back got the one with the vaccum hose and now it is little better will idle if u give it gas to fast or let off to fast it dies the enginge shuts off. i have tried to spray carb cleaner in my throttle body and it died. checked for vaccum hoses. anyone know what is wrong i must fix my car asap
Doesn't the rear mount for auto 6th gen's have a fluid-filled cavity that is vacuum-manipulated, that functions to reduce idle vibration? Something along those lines. IF he's referring to the rear mount that he is replacing, PERHAPS that's what he's talking about? Just trying to give benefit of the doubt.
ok guys sry i have fixed the issue honda accord forums helped. honda tech is still awesome.
ok so my 98 the back motor mount nearest to fire wall is a wierd motor mount no fuild but it does have a vaccum line on the lx i guess its like an airbag due to vaccum high vac pressure stiff low soft i do not know eaxcts to how it works similar to that it was slightly pinched cuasing problems and tryin to figure that out we unplugged tps and map in thought of one of those two being bad. when hooked back up they were switched creating a problem car is back on rd runnig great. thanks guy any ??? bout car we can continue our convo.
