Car not accelerating! Need Help!

Car not accelerating! Need Help!
My friend's Mitsubishi 3000GT won't accelerate the way it should. I test drove it, and the car would rev up to at least 2-2500rpm and then it would take off, but it would take off slowly. I checked the throttle cable, and it's tightly plugged in. I don't know any other problems the car would have.

it is in limp mode probally check for engine codes. including transmission codes.
